Resilience Makes the Winners

Being successful in a near-perfect scenario can be easy. It is only when things start to go wrong that real players show what they're made of. This is learnt by operating in a sector where only experience can prevent major losses.

In any market you can think of, resilience is king. Resilience is the ability to withstand the difficulties of a given time, the trait that enables players to endure harsh times and mold themselves around it, the kind of quality that will ultimately help them come on top.

The same principle applies to Real Estate. Nobody was prepared for something like this to happen. The economy has suffered one of the biggest setbacks ever recorded in history. It is now, more than ever, that the investor's "pathfinder" sense will dictate their success amid the hardships of the pandemic.

Most of us reading aren't new to crisis. Like TOTE SER, many have endured the harsh impacts of a market crisis. We went through them, we operated in them, we fought and saw the arising opportunities whenever we could. Our success ultimately lied in the ability to see how and where we could profit from such a challenging time in history, and adapt to it. And while many refused to fight, we stood strong and we came on top, reinforced and wiser.

Covid-19 is an enormous threat, a virus that changed the course of our everyday lives for undetermined time. However, as bad as it is, there are ways to profit from this event. Asset classes that were once underrated, are now gaining the importance that they deserve. This is an incredible time to turn to residential and logistic properties, as well as new places to work. The demand is shifting, and we need to shift accordingly. We adapt, we improvise, and we overcome.

Along our 30 years of experience, we've heard the word "impossible" more times than we can remember. Whether it was because we envisioned a tremendously ambitious project for a neglected building, or when we wanted to completely renovate an office building - we turned the "impossible" into an opportunity. As Nelson Mandela said: "Everything is always impossible until someone does it."

This is the drive that fuels our success, and it's what made us a reference in the Real Estate Market. We always find a way to comply with the investor's goals and produce state of the art projects.

However, we do not want to be known for our success. We want to be known for our value. We aspire to meet our investors' needs as if we were doing it for ourselves. Combining quality, profitability and a humanistic approach to business are our recipe to achieve the maximum well-being for the user.

Here's an ode to the crazy ones - the ones who always see the positive side of a given time, when most cross their arms. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules and they have no respect for the status quo; you can quote them, disagree with them, glorify, or vilify them. But the only thing you can't do, is ignore them, because they change things, they push the market forward. While some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.
