The interior modification project of this 4th floor one bedroom duplex is focused on its conversion into a two bedroom apartment and its extension to a new exterior terrace, where it is possible to enjoy a spectacular view of Lisbon’s downtown and of São Jorge’s Castle.
It was possible to reconvert the current living area into a very large room, also overlooking the Castle. The kitchen area increases its area through the opening of the space and removal of partition walls, creating a new living space.
It is here that we find a window to Lisbon, possible through the opening of the outer wall, turning it into a large glass curtain that connects us to the heart of the city.
We’ve created two living spaces, a very comfortable interior, another exterior on the new 20m2 terrace with a strong connection to the surroundings of Baixa (Lisbon’s downtown), where you are able to admire both the Castle, Lisbon’s Cathedral (the Sé) and even the River Tagus itself.
Our intention in this project was to bring Lisbon to the interior of the apartment and offer a new outdoor space so that the client can enjoy to the most the pleasure that the view offers us. We believe we have accomplished the goal in the best possible way.
